But when Lucy receives a phone call that changes everything, and Jiya and Rufus detect unexplained activity from the lost Mothership, they are plunged into a new adventure, jumping after a mysterious woman to 1954 Tangier, Morocco – a notorious spies’ playground, debauched literary hotspot, and center of Cold War intrigue. The team starts an urgent search for more information about the mysterious Victoria Marchant and Valkyrie Ultra, but only comes up with more questions. As Rufus, Wyatt, and Denise seek answers at home, and from an unexpected source, Lucy, Connor, Flynn, and Jiya travel to 1606 London and Shakespeare’s famous Globe Theatre. There, they meet the Bard himself and other members of his company, including his spirited daughter Susanna, and continue their hunt for Victoria during the first-ever opening night of Macbeth. But while Rufus and Jiya work to uncover the truth about the Mothership, Lucy faces a shockingly unexpected ghost of her family’s past and is forced to reckon with Rittenhouse’s devastating legacy. Relieved at surviving the Titanic, the team travels to 1893 Honolulu, Hawai’i, which swiftly proves to be no tropical getaway. As they try to help Queen Lili’uokalani stop the American coup over the islands, Lucy and Flynn attempt to keep their new relationship private, and Wyatt and Rufus wonder if Iris’s new partner may be more consequential than anyone entirely realizes. Back in the present, Jiya and Denise run a hazardous mission of their own, as disturbing questions are raised and still more secrets must be uncovered.
